Manda’s Midnight Mutterings

Manda’s Midnight Mutterings

So I place upon that funeral pyre
such things that my heart might desire.
These thoughts and wishes to my own judgement I entrust,
some things more important than love or lust.
Responsibility I take for my decisions
nor fear have I of any derisions.
But what of faith, I hear you ask.
Faith in myself is my ultimate task.
The strength of my convictions is in my trust
and trust in others becomes a must.
My reliance on self is whole and free
I cannot blame others for any inadequacy.
It’s a comfort to realise of what I have control,
to choose the path that makes me whole.
Words can be many and words can be few,
but it’s only with action that dreams come true.
