I decided I needed to give my mum and Mora a break and organised a weekend adventure for my self. I had visited the far western edge of the US and now I was pretty much at the far eastern side so… what better place to go, and to satisfy my natural sense of balance and fairness … I decided to go right to the centre of America…. Kansas!

The decision wasn’t quite so random. I have known in chat for probably the past 5 years and chatted most frequently in recent times, especially since the demise of room 5 as we had known it, with Bob… better known as “Playswellwithotters”…. and after all I felt compelled to see for myself the infamous pink bike shorts.

So, being a gentleman and a scholar, he graciously accepted my invitation to visit him

So in the short time I was there I got to see and learn something of the area known as the Flint Hills. A little bit of history, architecture, local brewed beer and good food was sampled, adding up to a very enjoyable weekend.

I think Plays hid his bike shorts, but I can confirm that he does have a bike.
