Sunday at “Moongamba”

Sunday at “Moongamba”

Today my mother organised a family lunch for her brother, my uncle Flip. He is visiting from Holland and is staying for about a month. It was his birthday today.

Last time I was at my mothers place, a couple of weeks ago I was baby sitting her dogs, as you might remember if you read that blog. Anyway I didn’t take any pictures that day so I brought the camera this time. We had fantastic weather today, bright, cool breeze and temps up to 26c. I still would like to get some early morning pics the atmosphere is a whole lot softer.

Looking north from the back of the house. On the left the drive way can be seen leading down to the road.

One of the horses came to say hello and have a chat. He has a mask on to keep the flies out of his eyes.

The back of the house. Bella

Happy birthday time, Flip cutting his cake. My mother is the one standing on the left, her sister , my aunt Rita in front of her and her other brother Fred on the far left. My sister and her children were also there as well as my cousin Cynthia (who, by the way, is still a foot taller than me ) My kids were there and Cynthia’s daughter, Amy, and Richard one of my other cousins children. It was a good gathering. We had a wonderful lunch and of course some cake….no need for dinner tonight!

  5. Manda, I have to tell you, I am in awe here. I just went through and read all the blogs showing up here on this page, and I thoroughly enjoyed every word! I loved hearing about your family, I loved hearing about your school days… snickerin… you were a pistol eh? heheee… I loved seeing these pictures! I loved how you described your school, and the goings on there, and your teachers. I can’t imagine that kind of structure… I would have been tossed out on my duppa after the first day or so I’m sure. This was great! Thank you so much for sharing so much of you and your life with us. I can’t wait to see and read more. Huggsssssssss Just a’cause 😀
